BAMOSB
Freshly harvested bamboo shoots — raw stock
Sustainability — Verifiable, not aspirational

Carbon-negative. Standards-verified.

Every BAMOSB panel sequesters more carbon than its manufacturing emits. The figure is not a marketing claim — it is verified by a third-party EPD and disclosed cradle-to-gate.

01 — The math

One cubic meter of BAMOSB. One point four one tonnes of CO₂.

This is the number that goes on the EPD, on the procurement document, and in the LEED submission. It is negative because the bamboo absorbs more carbon growing than the factory emits processing it.

02 — Lifecycle

From culm to panel to recovered fiber.

A closed-loop story. Every stage of the BAMOSB lifecycle is documented in the EPD — and at end of life, the panel is recoverable as fuel for the next press cycle.

i

Moso grove

5-year harvest cycle. Root system stays alive. FSC-certified.

ii

Strand production

Culms split, boiled, dried, precision-cut into 75mm strands.

iii

Adhesive blending

Zero-formaldehyde MDI adhesive. 0% added urea-formaldehyde.

iv

Press cycle

Continuous press at 200°C, 60s dwell. No boilers, no waste heat.

v

End of life

Recovered as fuel for the next press cycle, or recycled into BAMOSB-R.

04 — How we compare

BAMOSB vs wood OSB vs concrete.

The honest carbon math, side by side, for a typical 1m³ structural panel application.

BAMOSB bamboo panel

−1.41 tCO₂e
  • Net negative — bamboo absorbs more than we emit
  • Moso bamboo: 5-year harvest cycle
  • FSC certified, root system preserved
  • 0% formaldehyde
vs

Conventional wood OSB

+0.42 tCO₂e
  • Net positive — softwood harvested faster than regrown
  • Pine/aspen: 30-80 year harvest cycle
  • FSC rare; clear-cut common in some regions
  • Urea-formaldehyde binder (E1/E0 grade typical)

"The carbon math is not a feel-good claim. It is the basis on which our customers win institutional procurement — government buildings, LEED projects, BREEAM, and the EU taxonomy."
